Did Your Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid Shut Down While Driving?

Conn Law, PC is investigating reports by California owners and lessees of 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles that their Jeeps have died on them while driving.

Owners have complained of their hybrid electric jeeps continuing to shut down on them while driving. This puts the drivers and their passengers at serious risk.

Jeep buyers have complained that their cars will fail completely while on the highway and freeway. The drivers experience a complete power loss. The dashboard will go haywire with warning lights will come on.

Other owners have reported that their Jeep will go into coasting mode and slow down.

Drivers have reported warning messages come on such as: Performance Limited, Service Charging System, Depress Brake and Shift Out of P to Drive, or Brake and Push Button to Start. Other owners say that their Jeeps lose all speed without any check engine lights or notifications. And sometimes, after losing power, the vehicle will suddenly accelerate on its own. For some, the power steering will still work but in other instances, the power steering goes out too.

Often, once the Jeep comes to a stop, the driver cannot get it to restart on its own.

Hundreds of Jeep buyers have made complaints on the Jeep forums for these issues. However, often the problem will only happen periodically. When customers take their Jeeps in, the service advisors can have trouble diagnosing the issue. And while Jeep has issued some recalls, the problems remain and the electric Jeeps continue to fail.
